Finally, a haircut

Well, I don’t look like a hippie art teacher any more. Unfortunately I can’t see shit.

Note, too, the orange lipstick (it’s MAC’s Morange). I’d been holding off on buying orange lipstick for a while, because during the early 90s I lived in the stuff. Most women I know are extremely wary of revisiting the trends of their youth, the theory being that if you’re old enough to have worn it the first time round, you’re too old to wear it. I can understand this, and for this reason have resisted buying, among other things, a pair of Dr Marten’s and an 80s-style Wildfox Love T-shirt. But trends come round so quickly these days the only way to avoid adopting styles you’ve worn before is to start embracing Country Casuals and Dannimac, which is a whole different section of the department store.
